Delete your Proflio account

You can permanently delete your Proflio account and everything stored in it from inside the app, in about a minute. This page explains how, and what is removed when you do.

Delete it from the app

Five steps, on the device where you're already signed in.

  1. Open Proflio and unlock it with your PIN.

  2. On the home screen, tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the coloured header.

    This opens Settings.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete Account.

    It sits directly below Sign Out, in red.

  4. Read what will be removed, then type your account password to confirm it's you.

  5. Tap Delete account.

    Your data is erased and you're returned to the login screen. Nothing else to do.

This can't be undone. Deleted cards, photos and categories cannot be recovered, by you or by us. If you want to keep any contact details, note them down before you start.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account is removed — there is no partial or "deactivated" state.

Deleted permanently

  • Every saved business card and all its details
  • Every scanned card photo
  • Every category you created
  • Your profile: name, email address and phone number
  • Your sign-in credentials
  • The PIN stored on your device

Never collected

  • Contacts from your phone's address book
  • Location data
  • Advertising or tracking identifiers
  • Payment information

How long it takes

Immediately
Your cards, photos, categories, profile and sign-in are erased from our live systems, and you are signed out.
Within 30 days
Any remaining copies in our hosting provider's encrypted backups are rotated out and cease to exist.
